What she says: I’m fine.
What she means: Electra Heart was so beautifully written as well as illustrated and such a good concept and the fact that people don’t appreciate its beauty enough is absolutely gut wrenching like marina lambrini diamandis spent such a large portion of her life writing, recording, and creating a visual for this era and the fact that people don’t recognize the genius behind it hurts ME. also, she was able to express all the sadness she was feeling by creating a whole other person so that people could see what she was going through. she even brought up good points through it…for example: the demand and absolute need for feminism. not only that, she was able to express some common female archetypes (the housewife, the beauty queen, the “homewrecker”, and the idle teen). FINALLY, she pulled off the 50’s/60’s pinup look wHILE REPRESENTING EACH ARCHETYPE FLAWLESSLY but ya im fine tho
Oh my god this is so important
