7 March 2015. Near Bottolph’s Bridge, Romney Marsh, Kent. It was quite late at 5 pm and the light was falling off quickly – so I took this before the effect disappeared. Then the sheep miraculously appeared and I couldn’t resist putting them – they were beautiful in the early evening light. No one around other than the sheep and it was so tranquil – one of the best things I like about plein air painting. It’s strange – you’re on your own and yet it’s so romantic.
