By Aslak Vibæk and Peter Døssing (AVPD), when I saw this intriguing, mind-boggling installation called Hitchcock Hallway, I realised that I had been to see it when it was installed. It was at the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham last year, when you walked through it, it seemed never-ending, each of the 11 doors having to be closed before opening the next. I almost thought I was stuck in a paradox never to escape, brilliant interactive installation!

The concept of mandatory military service is insane to me. I cant believe it still exists in some places. It is (or was) especially fucked if there is (or was) a war on.

“The government has decided you WILL lay your life on the line for the state regardless of your situation, personal moral code or beliefs. If you refuse to serve in the military then you will be jailed and/or executed”.

It beggars belief that governments feel (or felt) entitled to the lives of its citizens like that. Lives stolen from innocent people, entire generations lost. It cant ever be allowed to happen again in the countries where it was abolished and it needs abolished in the countries where it is still in practice.
